The precipitation may linger into next week as well. For SoCal, rain will arrive Friday and last only through Saturday with ~0.5-inch of precipitation expected.
Depending on the timing, sampling may be an option Thursday mid-day for some NorCal locations—keep an eye on the runoff. SoCal locations may not have enough precipitation until late Friday for sampling.
